Preston International School offers the Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) Award Programme.  Originated by the late Prince Phillip of England – the Duke of Edinburgh, the award programme is a non-formal education and learning framework, operating in more than 130 countries and territories around the world, through which young people’s achievements outside of academia are recognized and celebrated. Today’s young people are strong, inspired and dedicated but are also facing unprecedented challenge and change. Therefore, they should be given every opportunity to explore and blossom.

Currently, more than a million 14 – 24 year–olds around the world are stepping outside their comfort zone through this programme. They are leaning to lead. They are safely supporting their communities, getting active and gaining new skills. They are discovering adventure and having fun. Through the Award, young people can develop the crucial skills they need to navigate change and build positive habits, now and in the future. All our Year 10 (SS1) and 11(SS2) students who are age 14 years and above are eligible to participate in this programme to develop their potentials.
